August 2020 Theme of the Month
This month, SERVPRO of Hardin/Larue Counties are focusing on something that is a big unknown for many families: Back To School. With many options being available this school year, families are faced with making many choices on where their children will be learning. While there are still many unknowns at this time, schools opening back up is a sign of live beginning to return to normal.
One thing everyone knows about this in person school year, is it will be looking very different than previously. To help prepare for this, the CDC has put out many tips and guidelines on what you can do before sending your children back to school to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Here are a few of their tips:
- Practice proper hand washing techniques at home, and stress the importance of regular hand washing
- Checking your children’s temperature daily for signs of a fever
- Find out how water or drinks will be provided to students during the school day, and consider investing in reusable water bottles for your children to use
- Make sure to have extra face masks available for each student, and have a clean, extra one in your child’s school bag
